It’s epic to experiment. Try things well outside the boundaries of the normal to see what works, what inspires you, and what kinda sucks. That’s why we love STAB’s Electric Acid Surfboard Test. You really don’t know what you’re gunna get, but the results are always interesting and entertaining.
But, what happens when Mick Fanning is part of the tests and he asks us to send some tail pads to suit. Suit what? The mystery is part of the point. Even crazier, the boards for this test were all created by 2 shapers in the one design - a bag of what if all in itself.
So, we sent Mick EVERYTHING. Here’s what Creature’s Brand & Product Director Beau Campi had to say about it.
"I'm a big fan of the EAST series, and when I learnt of the collaborative design between shapers and Mick taking the lead, it was set to be a banger. We included a package of gear with 3 variations of Mick's signature traction to cover any board design and the way he wanted to surf it. From a 2-piece twin pad, his wider and larger Eugene up to his performance LocLite. All the precious cargo arrived safe and sound in our Diamond Tech travel covers and finally the Hardwear canvas socks unveiled the alternate board quiver. Lovely!"
All the boards were super fun and rippable - Mick definitely made them look insane.
Check out Mick’s full range of signature tail pads that will suit ALL kinds of boards.
