It’s always epic to celebrate a win. The Creatures team was able to celebrate four of them recently during the Surf & Boardsports Industry Association Awards! It all went down during an incredible night of tins and trophies at the iconic Manly Pacific Hotel, with over 100 personalities from the industry including retailers, brand representatives and industry veterans.
Leading the way was our PROTO™1.4 Surf Grip, which took out Surf Accessory of the Year, Innovation of the Year, and the SBIA Environmental Award for 2023. If you’re not familiar with PROTO™1.4, this surf grip not only reduces material waste from 67% to just 5%, but also improves overall performance for surfers wanting to stay more engaged with their boards.
To cap things off, Creatures was also awarded Medium to Small Brand of the Year, beating out other finalists Oakley, O&E and The Critical Slide Society.

The recent round of awards means Creatures has won Surf Accessory of the Year more times than any other brand (5 out of the last 6 years running!). Previous year’s winners include The SUPERLITE Leash and the Creatures Triple Boardcover, rounding out the surf essentials holy trinity of traction, leash, and cover.
